Night Treats

Since beginning my role as CEO at Menno Place, I’ve had the pleasure of going around to the different units at Menno Home, Menno Hospital and the apartments to meet with staff.  Most recently, I was joined by Smitha Varghese (Director of Care Menno Hospital), Anitha Thomas (Manager of Care Menno Hospital), an Angela Ross-Fehr (Manager Dining Experience).

Angela organized a terrific variety of Indian sweets to share with everyone and made a batch of delicious chai. Being so far from my family, it was also a wonderful treat for me and brought me back to the large gatherings and parties I would go to with all my aunties, uncles, and cousins.  Aside from tucking into the nice treats, what I enjoyed most about bringing treats to the night staff was getting to know the staff a bit better and letting them know how very much we appreciate everything that they do to support residents, families, and each other.  I truly feel blessed to be part of the Menno Place team.

We are planning to bring the treat cart around again in the near future.  When we come by your area, please do stop by to enjoy a treat and a chat.
