Welcome to Amanda van Tilborg – People & Culture Business Partner

We’re pleased to welcome Amanda to Menno Place! Amanda is joining the P&C Team as a Business Partner on April 7th. She was drawn to Menno Place because she wanted her work to truly matter. Joining a purpose-driven organization, one that allows her to contribute to something bigger than herself was important to her, and the meaningful connections she made with people throughout the interview process (and over the years) affirmed her decision to say “yes”.

Amanda brings a strong passion for People and Culture and is most energized by the variety the work offers. She thrives when she can act as a true partner, helping drive results and making a positive impact, both big and small, for people and the organization. For Amanda, a simple and genuine “thank you” goes a long way, especially when it’s clear that her work has made a difference.

A great day at work for Amanda includes seeing progress toward shared goals while still making time for connection and healthy breaks. She values balance and believes that habits like stepping away from the desk, taking short walks, and prioritizing well-being help her do her best work. I think she might become a role model for all of us. She’s especially excited to get to know everyone at Menno, build positive working relationships, and learn more about the wellness work already underway across the organization.

Outside of work, Amanda’s life is full and lively. She’s been married to her husband Bill for 20 years, and together they live on a farm with their two busy kids, teenagers, Julia and Derek. Much of her time is spent cheering from the sidelines at hockey rinks and horse barns, supporting her kids’ passions. An animal lover at heart, Amanda is rarely far from her farm animals, or her dog Rosie and cats Ginger, Luna, and Beans. When she’s carving out time just for herself, you might find her at Pilates, the gym, or enjoying a good Netflix binge. And if you’re curious, her favorite holiday is Christmas!

Amanda values a team culture grounded in trust, transparency, and respect, and appreciates being included and consulted when it’s relevant, both professionally and socially. We’re excited to have her join the Menno Place community and look forward to the positive impact she’ll make.
