Welcome to Shruti Joshi – People & Culture Generalist

We’re pleased to welcome Shruti, who will be joining Menno Place for six months in the role of People & Culture (P&C) Generalist, beginning April 7.

Shruti was drawn to Menno Place because of our strong values and people‑focused culture, particularly our commitment to supporting vulnerable populations. This purpose‑driven mission aligns closely with her passion for People and Culture and her desire to create meaningful impact through her work.

Shruti feels most energized when she’s building strong relationships with candidates and hiring managers and guiding the hiring process smoothly from start to finish. She finds it especially fulfilling to solve recruitment challenges, create positive hiring experiences, and see people grow and succeed within the organization, particularly those she’s had the opportunity to hire. She values timely feedback and recognition that acknowledges both effort and impact.

In her six months, Shruti is excited to get to know the organization, build strong working relationships, and contribute to key People & Culture processes. She’s particularly interested in learning more about employee engagement, performance management, and payroll, recognizing these as important elements of a strong workplace culture.

Outside of work, Shruti enjoys staying active and recharging through hiking, playing tennis, exploring great places to eat, and spending time with friends. Her favorite holiday destination is Iceland, where she’s inspired by its breathtaking natural landscapes, glaciers, waterfalls, volcanoes, and the chance to experience the Northern Lights.

Shruti thrives in a collaborative, inclusive, and transparent team culture where people feel respected, heard, and valued. We’re excited to have her join the Menno Place community and look forward to the contributions she’ll make during her time with us.
