Q6: What are the three worker rights?

A: The right to know about hazards and safety. The right to participate in safety training and activities. The right to refuse unsafe work.


Q7: What does the right to know mean?

A: I know the hazards in my job, how to protect myself, and where to get safety information.


Q8: What does the right to participate mean?

A: I can take part in training, report concerns, and be involved through the JOHS Committee.


Q9: What does the right to refuse unsafe work mean?

A: I can refuse work I believe is unsafe and tell my supervisor right away.


Q10: What should you do if you feel work is unsafe?

A: Stop and tell my supervisor.

REPORTING & SPEAKING UP

Q11: How do you report a hazard or near miss?

A: I report it in Surge QRM and tell my supervisor.


Q12: Why is reporting important?

A: It helps prevent injuries and keeps everyone safe.


Q13: What if you are unsure something is a hazard?

A: I still report it or ask my supervisor.


Q14: Can staff raise safety concerns without fear?

A: Yes. Speaking up is supported.


Q15: Who can you talk to about safety concerns?

A: My supervisor or a JOHS Committee member.

EQUIPMENT & WORK ENVIRONMENT

Q16: What do you do if equipment is broken or unsafe?

A: I stop using it, tell my supervisor, and red-tag it.


Q17: Why do we red-tag equipment?

A: So others do not use it and to prevent injuries.


Q18: What do you do if you see unsafe work?

A: I speak up or tell my supervisor.


Q19: How do inspections help safety?

A: They find hazards so fixes can be made.


Q20: How are maintenance issues handled?

A: I report them using the proper system or to my supervisor.

TRAINING, PPE & PROCEDURES

Q21: Have you received health and safety training?

A: Yes. Training is provided during orientation and ongoing education.


Q22: How do you know what training you need?

A: Training is assigned through Surge Learning and my supervisor lets me know.


Q23: Have you been trained to use PPE?

A: Yes. Examples include gloves, masks or respirators, gowns, eye protection, and safety footwear.


Q24: What do you do if you need a refresher?

A: I ask my supervisor.

EMERGENCIES & FOLLOW UP
