Help Us Find Lost Items for Residents using Small Trackers

Like AirTags for senior care. Item location monitoring for top senior items like hearing aids, glasses, purses, and keys.

Menno Place is running a pilot project where small trackers are securely attached to resident’s essential items such as hearing aides or glasses, allowing caregivers or family members to locate these items using a smartphone app. MeepMeep is a Canadian hardware and software technology company that produces miniature, app-connected tracking devices designed to help seniors, families, and care staff locate frequently misplaced items like hearing aids, glasses, and mobility aids.

MeepMeep is a “many-to-many” tracking system which allows multiple staff, family members or residents to track these items across several devices at once. By tracking these essential items, we can prevent the emotional and/or financial strain of lost essential items. It minimizes the agitation of residents who have lost an essential item and it saves staff time spent looking for the lost items.

The pilot project is designed as a trial to see how the MeepMeep small tracker works in our long-term-care context as our care team uses it to find essential items in a short timeframe.
