It was a great day for riding (except for the last hour of rain) but even then I can be grateful the skies did not open up on me sooner. I got pretty drenched on North Parallel Rd and had to actually stop and stand by the side of the road because I couldn’t see where I was riding. I am very happy and super grateful towards my awesome co-workers who supported this idea so generously!

So far, we’ve raised $600 towards the goal and still haven’t counted the paypal donation account my employer, Menno Place set up! Menno also supported the event by allowing me to print and post posters all over and featured it on our staff website.

Monies raised go directly to supporting the elderly in Cambodia. They will be given to Nara, our previous chaplain intern who lives and serves elderly in Cambodia. He came to Menno Place through the MCC International Volunteer Exchange Program (IVEP). You can read more about Nara on Humans of Menno Place – Click Here.
