Unvaccinated Staff – September 13, October 4, October 12
Effective September 13th, all unvaccinated staff must follow Provincial Health Orders:
- An unvaccinated staff member must be tested for COVID-19 by means of a rapid test at a facility at every shift. Please arrive a minimum of 20 minutes prior to your shift to complete the test and show a negative COVID result before commencing your shift.
- An unvaccinated staff member must wear a medical mask which covers their nose and mouth when in the Menno Place buildings, or when accompanying a resident away from Menno Place.
- Despite #1, an unvaccinated staff member may remove a medical mask when consuming food or a beverage
- Unvaccinated staff should maintain a two metre distance from others at all times when eating food and in break rooms
- If an unvaccinated employee refuses to wear a mask or undergo a rapid test, the employee will be refused access to the facility. Employees will not be paid for missed shifts, and may be subject to discipline up to and including termination. Refusing to comply is a violation of the Public Health Act.
September 13th is the LAST DAY to get your 1st dose of vaccine.
This allows for 21 days between 1st and 2nd dose + 7 days to be fully vaccinated.
