Dec 21st – Heidi’s Scarves @ Fireside

Thank you Purdy’s Helpers!

Two GOATS purchased with your support!

Remember earlier this year we introduced a program for the residents of Menno Home East One, Lounge and Chalet? The residents were involved with taking photographs around campus of seasonal flowers, printing pictures on our Photo Printer, choosing colour coordinated mats for photo, creating greeting messages using rubber stamp, mounting photos on purchased blank cards and preparing cards for marketing.

Well, thanks to the cards we’ve sold in the Fireside Treasures gift shop, we’ve been able to purchase TWO GOATS!

Why goats?
At the price of $3.00, each card’s sales go towards a charity as determined by the residents, which they decided as a group to purchase goats for people in developing countries.

One goat changes everything. Her milk provides great protein to help children grow. The family can also sell any extra to earn money for medicines and other necessities.

Thank you for your continued support
