Christmas can be a tough time. Extra pressures on the family and finances can be a part of the season. There may be memories of loved ones that you are grieving or loneliness as you make it through the celebrations without them. Christmas is a time when addictions can become overwhelming. You may need support – and you don’t know where to turn.
Turn to the Employee and Family Assistance Program. We proved the Employee and Family Assistance Program to our employees at no charge. This is a confidential phone line that can help you deal with difficulty in life. Completely confidential, Menno Place is given a very simple report of the numbers of employees using the service. It can not be linked back to an individual employee. What a relief! If you need more help (counselling sessions), that is also arranged for you at no charge.
This help is available 24/7 for you and your family. Do you need some counselling in a crisis? Some personal counselling? Would it help to have someone who can help you with work/life services (like a life coach)?
Will you get support with your smoking cessation resolution? What about nutritional counselling or financial coaching / credit counselling? Is this the year that you break your addiction – to gambling, alcohol, drugs or internet?
This is an opportunity that costs you nothing but courage. Calling is a way of saying that you want your life to improve, you want to help your family, you want to be free.
From time to time, we all deal with difficulty in life. Most often, we can deal with life’s challenges ourselves, or with the help of family or friends. But sometimes it can be helpful to talk to a trained professional – someone who is objective, caring and experienced at helping with the particular issue you’re facing.
