Celebrate Increased Hours in Menno Home
It’s time to celebrate!
Menno Home has received an increase in HPRD (Hours Per Resident Day)! This is a historic and much hoped-for increase that will allow more care for residents each day!
The BC Provincial government has a plan to get all long-term care homes to 3.36 HPRD. This is an initiative that has long been desired and advocated from the long-term care sector.
Menno Home will see an increase in HPRD to 2.95 HPRD for 157 residents and 3.36 for 39 residents (E1).
Menno Hospital has been at 3.37 HPRD for several years and will not see any change.
Special thanks goes to the Menno Home Care Aides for their assistance and cooperation during this time of transition.
Thank you to the Staffing Office for their work in calling out and adjusting the hours/positions. Special thanks to Hilde Wiebe, Joanne Rankin, Karin Schroeder and the Schedule Committee.
Menno Home will see the increased staff on Wednesday, March 21st. There will be a job fair in April and the new rotations will begin in early May.
Thank you to everyone for your continued involvement and cooperation as we adjust to the increased support available to our residents in Menno Home!
