Director of Care for Home and Hospital – Cyndy Gabriel Retirement Date

Dear Menno Place Staff Team,

Cyndy Gabriel has served as Director of Care for Menno Home and Hospital with a retirement set for earlier in the spring. As the COVID-19 pandemic swept through Canada and British Columbia, Cyndy graciously offered her continued support and extended the date of her retirement until August 31st. Thank you to Cyndy for providing leadership during this difficult time of transitions and change with COVID-19.

Cyndy’s last day of work at Menno Place will be July 17th. Cyndy started her career here at Menno Place in 2007 in Menno Home where she worked as an RN Shift Leader. Read more about her nursing career with Menno Place here.

I am pleased to announce that both Kim Cantwell and Smitha Varghese have accepted the position of Director of Care (DOC), effective July 6th. Kim will serve as DOC for Menno Home and Smitha will serve as DOC for Menno Hospital.
