NEW COVID POSITIVE CASES = 5 residents + 0 staff 

TOTAL COVID POSITIVE CASES = 23 (11 residents | 12 staff)

MOST RECENT COVID CASE = January 14, 2022

INDEX CASE = January 3, 2022

Menno Hospital E1 continues on Enhanced Monitoring. Additional residents were found to be COVID positive. Two residents are still awaiting swab results. Families are being notified. Staff who were COVID positive at the beginning of this transmission (January 3, 2022) have begun returning to work.

  • Only VERY ESSENTIAL visits, no social visits
  • Audits continue – hand hygiene audit, PPE audit, environmental audit
  • All communal activity including dining stopped
  • All residents placed on droplet precautions – isolation and full PPE for staff and essential visits
  • All families of affected residents will be contacted.
  • Any symptomatic residents will be swabbed for COVID
