COVID-19 updates – Available on the Staff Website

Our Menno Place team has provided several years of daily communication that has required significant hours of overtime to communicate, including every post on a Saturday, Sunday or Stat holiday during this time. We recognize how important this has been for staff and families. We appreciate the dedicated work of our team who have made this possible.
As the province moves toward weekly reporting, we recognize that we also cannot continue with daily updates in the form that they have been reported. Instead, we have created a simplified tab chart that makes it easy for you to see a real-time update for the area of the campus that is most important to you.
You can find the unit or building-specific tab chart on the Menno Place Staff website – www.MennoPlaceStaff.com
We will continue to report on all significant changes, especially when family and friends may not have access to their loved ones if an Outbreak is called.
We will also post on our website the number of residents who have COVID and the corresponding Scenarios that outline the protocols required by the Medical Health Officer. These will be updated and posted on the Menno Place Staff website: www.MennoPlaceStaff.com

4th COVID Booster Coming to Menno Place

We are excited to hear that Dr. Bonnie Henry has promised a 4th COVID-19 vaccine dose for those 70 and older as well as for vulnerable individuals.

Dr. Bonnie Henry made the announcement on April 5th that a fourth shot will be provided to those who are considered clinically extremely vulnerable. “This is a really important measure for us, said Dr. Bonnie Henry. “We know that the older we are, the sooner the [COVID-19] antibodies will wane”.

We expect that the fourth dose will be made available to the residents and tenants at Menno Place during the month of April.

A fourth dose is not being recommended at this time for the remainder of the population.
