Gastroenteritis:

GI symptoms usually accompanied by nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal cramps. Commonly caused by virus. Norovirus, one of the most common causes are found in the stool or vomit of infected people. The virus can spread easily from person to person.

Bacteria:

Clostridium Difficile is a type of bacteria that can cause colitis, a serious inflammation of the colon.

Action-Implement contact precautions ADD droplet precautions if vomiting. Careful toileting, initiate enhanced cleaning, hand hygiene using soap & water, & follow your 4 moments of HH.
