Memo – Menno Place staff working across the Menno Place campus
Effective April 15, 2021 Menno Place team members will once again be able to work across the Menno Place campus in the different buildings. Up until the COVID outbreak at Menno Home, we considered Menno Home, Menno Hospital and Menno Apartments as “one site”, allowing employees to work additional hours in multiple of the buildings. Since the COVID outbreak in Menno Home, we have cohorted employees to one building and one unit with minimal exceptions.
With the high rate of vaccinations in both employees and residents, we are once again consider all of the buildings of Menno Place to be “one site”. Staffing will contact you for shifts in areas you previously worked.
As the rate of COVID-19 and its variants is the highest it has ever been in the community, Menno Place is requiring a strict adherence to the infection control protocols that must take place when working between units of buildings.
This includes showering and a change of clothing when working between units or buildings in a single day. There are more than 30 residents on our campus who have not had opportunity for vaccination, making them especially vulnerable in the current scenario of social visits and more movement of staff.
We are grateful to all of you on the Menno Place team who have worked so hard to keep yourselves safe from COVID, thereby keeping your co-workers and the residents safe. Let’s keep up our strongest defense against this virus as we open up employment across the campus once again – vigilant following of infection control protocols, including vaccination, social distancing and wearing masks/goggles. We are very proud of our amazing Menno Place Team!
