We All Deserve a Safe Workplace
Violence in the workplace — physical, verbal, or emotional — has no place in our environment.
Here’s how we’re taking action:
🔐 Enhanced reporting pathways
🧠 De-escalation and trauma-informed training
📚 Risk assessments in high-risk areas
Together, we create a workplace that is safe, respectful, and responsive.
Does Your Team Have Great Ideas? You could win!
Department Challenge: Let’s find out which team at Menno Place can come up with the most safety improvements in 10 minutes. At every shift, a team representing the unit (minimum 2 people, maximum the whole team present) brainstorm ideas on how safety can be improved at Menno Place or in their department/unit. Send your team’s list of safety ideas to Healthandsaftey@mennoplace.ca. The team with the most ideas for improvement will have a pizza party on a day of their choice.
Violence Prevention workshops are happening throughout the year. The next workshop is May 26. Sign up at: MennoPlaceStaff.com/vp-workshops
