Retirement Announcement – Hilde Wiebe

Dear Staff Family,

This email comes with mixed feelings as we announce the upcoming May 2018 retirement of one of our executive directors, Hilde Wiebe.

Hilde has been our Executive Director of Care Services at Menno Place since April 2013. In this significant role, Hilde has lead a number of change processes in the past five years while she supported the Nursing team, Recreation and Rehab Team, Music Therapy, Contracted Nursing, Pastoral Care Team and Social Work Team and all of us in the Accreditation Process.

We will have the opportunity to honour Hilde for her contributions in a farewell reception closer to her retirement date.

As Hilde prepares for retirement, Menno Place welcomes Janet Bergen into the position of Executive Director of Care Services beginning on Wednesday, January 31, 2018. Janet will work alongside Hilde for the next four months and assume the role when Hilde retires.

Janet Bergen has recently served as Executive Director of Care at Evergreen Baptist Care Home. Janet also served as Regional Manager Clinical Services for Revera,  Director of Care at Tabor Home as well as previously as Resident Care Manager at Menno Home.

We invite all employees to extend their good wishes to Hilde as she enters into retirement and to extend a welcome to Janet as she joins our Executive team here at Menno Place.
