It is with mixed emotions that we announce the departure of our dear colleague and friend, Joyce Wiebe. Her last day at Menno Place will be June 13, 2025. While it is sad to see her go, we are incredibly proud of her and excited for what lies ahead in her next chapter.
Joyce joined Menno in August of 2019 and took on the role as Volunteer Coordinator in September 2021. Joyce has been an integral part in our volunteer recruitment and training and will be missed by all the volunteers that she has worked with over the past years. Joyce also supported the recreation teams at Menno as she worked with everyone to find volunteers to provide a helping hand with all the programs we offer.
A message from Joyce
I am so grateful for the opportunity to work across different departments at Menno Place. I have met so many amazing people and truly appreciate how I was able to grow my skills during my time here.
I am excited about this new step in my career, and I believe that working with the Alzheimer Society will allow me to further develop my skills while putting my gerontology education into practice.
While I will miss all of the friends I have made during my time here, I know that although we will no longer be working together, these friendships will remain.
We wish you all the very best Joyce! We will miss the spring in your step and hearing the clicking of your heels as you make your way down the halls at Menno. You will be missed.
