Welcome Chiamaka – Health & Safety Coordinator!
Welcome Chiamaka!
We are happy to welcome Chiamaka, who will be joining Menno Place on June 23 as our Health and Safety Coordinator.
Chiamaka chose Menno Place because she wanted to be part of an organization that truly cares for people and makes a difference in the lives of residents, staff, and families. She is excited to use her experience in health and safety to help make our workplace safe, healthy, and caring.
Chiamaka enjoys work where she can help people feel safe and supported. She likes building relationships, finding risks, improving safety, and working with teams to solve problems. For her, a great day at work is when she can work together with others, support staff, solve challenges, and leave knowing she made things better. She feels most supported in a workplace with open communication, teamwork, and trust. She values simple and kind recognition, like feedback or hearing that her work made a difference.
In her first six months, Chiamaka is looking forward to learning more about Menno Place, getting to know people, and building strong relationships. She is especially interested in learning more about safety programs, injury prevention, and ways to keep everyone safe while supporting great care.
Outside of work, Chiamaka enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, relaxing, and connecting with loved ones. These activities help her recharge. Her favorite holiday is Christmas, a time she enjoys for faith, family, love, and togetherness.
Chiamaka does her best work in a team that is kind, respectful, and supportive, with open communication and trust. She values a workplace where everyone feels welcome, heard, and included.
Please join us in giving Chiamaka a warm welcome!
