——

Please join me in welcoming our newest team member: Dr. Loradonna Botter

A strong People and Culture portfolio is vital especially for an organization as large and complex as Menno Place. Recruiting for the right individual with the right skills who also exemplifies our values and is aligned with our Mission and Vision can be challenging.  I am pleased to announce that we have found this individual in Loradonna Botter.

Loradonna is a distinguished Certified Human Resources Leader with a wealth of experience in organizational effectiveness. She currently serves as a Global HR Advisor, and Professor in the School of Business in a college in Ontario.

With a robust academic background including a PhD in business administration, a Master’s degree in Industrial/ Organizational Psychology, and certifications in adult training and Six Sigma, Loradonna is equipped with a diverse skill set. Her expertise extends globally, having designed, and led highly acclaimed training initiatives within a variety of organizations.

Loradonna has over two decades of teaching experience across recognized institutions in Ontario and Alberta. Loradonna’s impact extends beyond the classroom; she has a proven track record of transforming organizational cultures and fostering capacity development across all levels within different industries and organizations.

Throughout her 30-year career, Loradonna has led innovative programs and projects aimed at enhancing workplace culture and engagement, alongside authoring comprehensive policy manuals and handbooks. Beyond her professional achievements, she finds fulfillment in giving back through volunteering activities and cherishing moments with her loyal canine companions, Dallas, and Brooklyn.

We are very grateful to have someone with Loradonna’s wealth of experience to support Menno Place in reaching our goals. She will be developing and implementing leading edge strategies, initiatives, and programs to support us in providing excellence in resident and family centred care.  Loradonna has sent the following message to be shared with the team:

“I deeply appreciate the invaluable contributions made by every individual at Menno Place. Having witnessed firsthand the impact of Long-Term Care during my parents’ final years in Ontario, I was very moved by the unconditional care they received and the abundance of compassion displayed each day. I am eager to join a team of dedicated individuals committed to striving for excellence for the betterment of all. I look forward to the opportunity to connect with each of you and collaborate towards our shared goals. ‘May the favor of the Lord our God rest on us; establish the work of our hands for us—yes, establish the work of our hands.’ – Psalm 90:17 (NIV)”

Loradonna’s first day will be May 13th and her office will be located in the MBS corporate office space.
