With Love We Remember – Erika Enns

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Erika Enns of Abbotsford, BC. She passed away in the early hours of Dec 25, 2021 at Mission Hospice after a brief battle with cancer at the age of 72.

She will be profoundly missed by her mother, Erika Sara Enns, and five siblings: Hans (Sieglinde), Tina, Willy (Narisa), Anneliese, and Ruth (Andy). She is predeceased by her father, Peter Enns (1992) and a brother Henry (2008). She leaves behind many nieces and nephews, a large extended family, and countless friends.

Erika was born in Paraguay and immigrated to Alberta in1965. In 1979, she moved to Abbotsford where she became a member of Bakerview Church and worked at the Menno Home for the next 34 years. She made many international trips in her lifetime. In her retirement, she enjoyed her volunteer work at the MCC thrift store. Erika will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Erika’s family would like to thank the nurses and doctors at ARH and Mission Hospice. Donations can be made to MCC World Relief. The service of remembrance for Erika will be for family and extended family by invitation due to COVID19.
