HOME W2: OUTBREAK (declared 16/02/2022)

NEW COVID POSITIVE CASES = 1 resident  

TOTAL COVID POSITIVE CASES =30 (25 residents | 5 staff)

We continue to watch for symptoms in residents and staff. The north and south ends of the W2 unit are separated. The north end is where we are continuing to see transmission of COVID. Residents are experiencing mild symptoms.

Protocols:
  • Twice daily symptom screening for staff and residents
  • All residents isolated and on droplet precaution
  • Communal dining discontinued
  • Group activities discontinued
  • Staff to wear masks and goggles until further notice
  • Only essential visitors allowed.

HOME W1: MONITORING OVER!

Protocols:
  • ONCE daily symptom screening for staff and residents
  • All staff to wear goggles – this will be reassessed mid-March

HOSPITAL E2: Monitoring (Scenario 2)

NEW COVID POSITIVE CASES = 0

TOTAL COVID POSITIVE CASES = 3 (2 resident | 1 staff)

No new cases 01/30/22

East 2 is on Scenario 2 Protocols:

• Twice daily symptom screening for staff and residents.
• All symptomatic residents will be placed on isolation and swabbed
• Communal dining on the affected unit is stopped.
• Group activities on the affected unit are stopped.
• Social visits and essential visits on the affected can continue
• Continued admissions/transfers to the affected unit without approval from MHO
• Staff to wear goggles and masks in the care areas
• Staff to be cohorted to East 2
