May 3 to 9 is Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) “Mental Health Week”
We know that talking about are feelings with our colleagues, employees and/or a professional is helpful for our mental health and is much better for us than numbing our feelings through unhealthy habits. The following is taken from the CMHA website and it nicely captures this sentiment.
“Heavy, painful feelings lighten when we put them into words. This Mental Health Week, don’t go uncomfortably numb. #GetReal about how you feel. Name it, don’t numb it.”
