Staff Appreciation Tea – Honouring Staff Achievements in 2024
From awards that marked 645 years of service to the nominations that poured in for outstanding achievements – 98 nominations for 73 staff! – there was plenty to celebrate at this year’s Staff Appreciation Tea.
The ceremony began with Deanna Klassen, Vice-Chair of the MBS Board, who brought greetings on behalf of the board. She addressed the staff saying, “You are the heart of Menno Place. Every day you bring respect, dignity, skill, and love as you answer the calling to care for these residents. You are every day heroes.”
Deanna was followed by Sujata Connors, CEO of Menno Place, who took to the stage to thank the staff and brought back her Trivia-by-the-Year that was so popular at last year’s event. Who knew 1994 was such a great year for movies?
Long Service Awards were presented to staff to recognize 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30 & 40 years of dedication to Menno Place. Congratulations to all of our recipients!
