WorkSafe BC coverage for work related injuries
There have been recent questions regarding whether team members are covered for Workers Compensation Insurance when working off-site. To clear up any misconceptions, please note the following:
If a team member is injured in the workplace or in the act of doing work-related tasks off-site, you are protected regardless of how the injury happened.
Whether an injury occurs when you are taking a resident for a walk down the street, helping a family member get them into their car, riding the duet bike with a resident around Mill Lake, or driving to the store to pick up supplies, you are covered under the Menno Place WorkSafe BC policy.
