BC Restart Step 3 for Menno Place

On July 1st, BC entered Step 3 of the BC Restart Program. At the same time, BC lifted the pandemic state of emergency. In its place, business and organizations are asked to operate under a Communicable Disease Prevention Plan.

At Menno Place, the Home, Hospital and Assisted Living are provided specific orders through Fraser Health. Two updates are currently in place for Menno Place staff:

  1. Relaxing of mask and goggle wearing for those who are double-dose vaccinated when not in direct contact with residents during the heatwave (end-date will be announced)
  2. Staff are permitted to work across campus – those not fully vaccinated (2 doses + 14 days) are required to have a rapid test with a negative result before each shift
  3. Staff are asked to self-report their double-dose vaccination using the form below

Requirements for social visitors remain unchanged – they will continue to pre-book, be screened, social distance from others and wear a mask when with their loved one. They are permitted to eat with their loved one. Independent Living residents (Primrose Gardens, Terrace West, Pavilion) and their visitors will abide by Public Health Orders.

As with all British Columbians, those who are not fully vaccinated (double dose + 14 days), you are recommended to wear a mask when around people who you do not know. We recognize that you have been vigilant during this pandemic and your vigilance has kept residents safe. We thank you for this and encourage continued vigilance as you move into BC Restart Step 3.

—————

If you are double vaccinated, you may remove your goggles and masks except when in direct contact with residents. This is a temporary measure during this heatwave. You will be notified when we return to our previous COVID-protocols.

If you are double dose vaccinated, you are permitted to work across campus without providing a negative COVID-19 rapid test result before each shift.

Report Double Dose Vaccination

Please provide proof of double-dose of COVID vaccination using the form below. You will be required to upload evidence of your double-dose (.jpg, .png or PDF).
