COR Audit – Let’s Get Ready Together: Training, PPE & Procedures
Our COR (Certificate of Recognition) Health & Safety Audit will take place from April 27 to May 2.
Over the next week, you will receive short Health & Safety messages to help everyone feel confident and prepared.
These messages:
- Are based on real questions an auditor may ask
- Are not a test
- Reflect what you already do every day
COR Question: Have you received health and safety training?
Best Answer:
- Yes. Training is provided during orientation and ongoing education.
Q: How do you know what training you need?
A: Training is assigned through Surge Learning and my supervisor lets me know.
Q: Have you been trained to use PPE?
A: Yes. Examples include gloves, masks or respirators, gowns, eye protection, and safety footwear.
Q: What do you do if you need a refresher?
A: I ask my supervisor.
Q: Where do you find safe work procedures and safety information?
A: On SURGE, on safety boards, or from my supervisor.
Managers and supervisors also lead by example, and safety expectations apply to everyone.
If you don’t know an answer during the audit, it is always okay to say: “I would check SURGE or ask my supervisor.”
Thank you for doing your part to keep Menno Place safe.
