Nurses Week: Gift Card Winners!

Thank you to everyone who participated in our two gift card draws for Nurses Week!

For the first draw we asked our nurses to describe Menno Place nursing using a movie title, song title, or book title — and explain your choice.

The winning answer came from Navneet Dhanoa who works in Menno Home East 2. Naveneet has won a $50 gift card for her answer, “You Have Got A Friend (song by Carole king). Menno place feels like this song because long term care is about comfort, trust and companionship. Residents are supported with dignity and kindness, and staff are there every day to provide care, friendship, and a sense of home when it matters most.” Congratulations Navneet!

For the second draw we asked, “What is one small thing you do as a nurse that you believe makes a big difference to residents at Menno Place?”

And the winner is – Jenna Padilla, from Menno Home West 1. She has won a $10 Starbucks gift card for her answer, “Taking the time to make a resident a warm beverage of their choosing in the dining room, even if I’m busy administering medications so the residents don’t feel like they’ve been accidentally forgotten.” Congratulations Jenna!
