Subject: ComVida Updates
Dear Staff,
This memo is to inform you of upcoming changes to ComVida.
Please note that ComVida will be temporarily unavailable on Thursday, November 27, 2025, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm due to system updates.
We are pleased to share that we have taken your feedback to the ComVida team and worked collaboratively to enhance the software and address several concerns raised by staff.
Some of the key concerns included:
As of November 21, 2025, staff can now register their accounts directly through the ComVida mobile app.
We are also happy to announce that each employee has been assigned a unique username. This means you will no longer need multiple logins to access schedules across different sites if you are cross-hired. All notifications for vacant shifts—as well as your work schedule—will now be available under one profile.
This memo is a friendly reminder to watch for an important email from People and Culture this week. That email will include your new username, along with steps to ensure you remain connected and fully set up.
Once you receive your new username:
Please note:
If you do not receive your new username by November 27, 2025:
Thank you again for your valuable feedback and for your patience as we continue improving our systems to better support you.
Regards,
Jessy Manhas, CPHR
See something? Say something, it could save a colleague from injury.
Many WorkSafeBC claims start small, a sore wrist, a minor strain, or an “it’s nothing” moment. But these early warning signs often turn into long-term injuries if they go unreported.
Why early reporting matters:
How to take action:
Every report is a step toward a safer, stronger workplace.

A clean space is a safe space — physically and mentally.
Clutter isn’t just inconvenient — it’s dangerous. Blocked hallways, overflowing laundry bins, and scattered maintenance tools can lead to trips, falls, and injuries. But the impact goes deeper than physical safety — clutter can also threaten your psychological safety.
When workspaces are chaotic, it can feel like safety isn’t a priority. That can lead to stress, anxiety, and a sense that your wellbeing isn’t valued — all of which affect morale and teamwork.
According to the National Standard for Psychological Health and Safety in the Workplace, a safe environment includes:
Let’s work together to keep our spaces clear and safe:
Congratulations to Karamjeet Gill, Health Care Aide, Menno Hospital! She is the winner of our Safety Blitz safety quiz and has won a first aid kit. Thanks to the 39 staff from all across our campus who took part in the quiz.

Thank you for your cooperation.
Honouring the Men Who Strengthen Our Community
At Menno Place, we believe in recognizing the people who shape our lives with compassion, strength, and service. International Men’s Day, first observed globally in 1999, is an opportunity to honour the positive contributions men make in their families, friendships, workplaces, and communities.
Today, we celebrate the men who walk alongside us—those we love, live with, and work beside.
We honour the men who:
Your presence matters. Your contributions matter. You matter.
A Call to Holistic Wellness
Because we care about those who care for others, International Men’s Day is also a reminder that health is a lifelong journey, one of body, mind, and spirit.
We encourage men to take time to reflect on their well-being:
Your wellness is important. You are important.
Movember: Taking Action for Men’s Health
November also marks Movember, a global movement focused on men’s health awareness.
We encourage men to:
Taking care of your health is not only responsible, but an act of love for yourself and those who depend on you.
Do Something Good for Yourself – November 19th is your Day!
On this day, we invite every man to choose something that restores joy or peace. Perhaps a walk, a hobby, a good meal, quiet time, or connection with someone meaningful. Even a small moment can refill the spirit.
Whether you’re a father, brother, mentor, colleague, or friend, your contributions don’t go unnoticed. On this International Men’s Day, we celebrate you and the positive impact you make in the world. Here’s to continuing to support each other, to raise awareness on issues that matter, and to create stronger communities where everyone, regardless of gender, can thrive. 💙
A Scripture of Strength and Encouragement
“Be strong and courageous; do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” — Joshua 1:9
May this reminder bring comfort and encouragement to the men in our Menno Place family.
Protect your body — it’s your most important tool at work.
Musculoskeletal injuries (MSIs) can happen slowly over time or suddenly during a task. They affect muscles, joints, tendons, and ligaments — and they’re one of the most common injuries in long-term care.
Here’s how you can prevent MSIs:
Your health matters — every shift, every task. Let’s work together to prevent injuries and keep our team strong.
