Re:
Executive Assistant

——

Please join me in welcoming our newest team member: Nicole Wiebe!

In January we announced that Pearl Nucich, Executive Assistant, had decided to retire after serving more than 10 years at Menno Place.  After an extensive recruitment search, I am very pleased to announce that we have found a candidate who has the right combination of skills, experience, and heart to fulfil this essential role.

Nicole is an experienced and creative professional with a background in administration, executive support, project management, and marketing. She is known to come up with unique solutions to bottlenecks and is always ready to dive into a new project or challenge. Nicole is a lifelong learner, and as a published writer and photographer adds a level of creativity in her work.

Nicole is a people-focused professional with a zeal for corporate and public communication and years of experience in non-profits. She is passionate about the well-being of others, wants to hear their stories, and help them in any way she can.

Nicole has spent most of her life in Abbotsford, although she loves to travel and see what else the world has to share.  She has a deep love of animals and enjoys volunteering with them. She spends a lot of time laughing with her family and friends, and likes baking, singing, and reading – but the majority of the time can be found with her two much adored little pups.

“Working at Menno Place is a full circle moment for me to see in my life – my late mother worked as a care aide at Menno Home, and my Oma spent her last love filled years there as well. Working at an organization that has been such an integral part of the community while serving others is an answer to prayers! I look forward to growing alongside you all and helping the executive team to flourish. I am excited to join the team and get to know everyone.”

Nicole will start on April 26th and will be located in the corporate office space in order to support a smooth transition of knowledge and responsibility from Pearl.

Please join me in welcoming Nicole and wishing Pearl well on her next great adventure!
