Retirement Announcement – Michele Crowell

It is with mixed emotions that we announce the retirement of our friend and colleague, Michele Crowell, after 18 remarkable years of dedicated service to Menno Place. While we will certainly miss her, we are excited for the new adventures that await her in this next chapter of life.

Michele has poured her heart and soul into her work. She is known not only for her exceptional professionalism, but also for her meticulous attention to detail. Whether answering questions or guiding us through complex budgeting and financial reporting, Michele has consistently demonstrated excellence, accuracy, and unwavering commitment.

Throughout her tenure, Michele has held various roles at Menno Place, beginning as Accounting Coordinator at Menno Home in 2007, and most recently serving as Finance Analyst & Reporting for all of Menno Place since 2015.

A highlight for Michele, and something she can be proud of, is the successful grant application that she led which enabled the nursing staff to purchase a bladder scanner. It’s still in use today!

Please join us in celebrating Michele’s incredible career and wishing her all the best in her well-deserved retirement. Feel free to reach out to Michele via email or phone to congratulate her. Michele’s last day will be Friday, February 14.

Thank you, Michele, for your extraordinary dedication to your work, and to the residents and staff of Menno Place. We wish you nothing but joy and fulfillment as you embrace this exciting new chapter! Peace out!

Changes Are Coming To TheWorxHub

In the coming weeks we will be upgrading our maintenance, stores, room booking, and housekeeping and laundry systems. We will be moving away from TheWorxHub to new software solutions that improve work flows for support service workers, provide better reporting, and increase access to the requesters across the campus.

When is this change happening?

The first program to roll out will be the app for Stores. It will go live on February 3.  Systems for the other areas will go live in early April.

How will staff access the new systems?

All staff will be able to access the new systems through iLinks on the staff site, or through a bookmark in their browser, the same way TheWorxHub was accessed in the past.

Will there be training on the new systems?

There will be clear instructions on the staff site as new programs launch. Some teams (eg maintenance, housekeeping and laundry) will receive additional training.

What if I need to make a request today?

Keep using TheWorxHub as normal until each system switches over. For example, on Feb 3 when the new Stores system goes live, maintenance and housekeeping requests will still go through TheWorxHub. The dates of the switches will be clearly communicated.

Thank You for Your Generosity!

Over the holiday season the Menno Place community and the broader Abbotsford community showed up for us in some spectacular ways.
